His Excellency Mr Stéphane Romatet, French Ambassador to Australia and official patron of the MFT honoured our Theatre and its Executive Director and Producer Michael Bula by a visit to its offices in Carlton on Thursday 3 May 2012, to see the past posters, archives, library and filmed productions and discuss MFT affairs. Michael presented him with a Certificate of Honorary Membership of the MFT, which he graciously accepted.
The brief ceremony was followed by un déjeuner très français – a very French lunch at Parisgo Restaurant in Carlton.
MFT looks forward to strengthening ties with the Embassy and working with the Ambassador in its unique mission to bring new and classic French plays live to its Australian audiences.
